About WEskills Database

The WEskills Database project was originally a pilot project launched in 2012 through funding by the City of Windsor. The original pilot project’s purpose was to collect resumes of laid-off workers with the goal of helping key stakeholders, such as the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation, better understand and market the skill sets that are readily available in Windsor-Essex, as well as identify skills gaps and available talent for businesses relocating to the region.

Today, the goal remains the same, however, we collect resumes from both unemployed and underemployed individuals who are using partnering employment services and from the general public.

Now, the WEskills Database has more than 5,000 resumes in our database.
